Let Negative Space Hold Art, Turning Everyday Life into an Exhibition
This project is conceived around the core concept of “Pure White × Art Residence.” By eliminating excessive ornamentation and unnecessary lines, cabinetry and walls return to their essential forms.White finishes and solid, plain-surfaced panels establish a calm spatial foundation, while large-format plain tiles are used on the flooring to reduce visual fragmentation.
The result is a space that feels pure, grounded, and visually expansive—an ideal backdrop for both art pieces and everyday living objects.
The public area integrates the living room, dining area, and kitchen into a fully open, three-in-one layout, allowing sightlines and circulation to flow freely and amplifying the sense of spatial openness.
At the heart of the dining space stands the Riva Table by CIMENTO, serving as the visual focal point.
Its handcrafted concrete material introduces sculptural weight and artistic tension into the all-white interior.
A recessed detail is carved at the junction between the dining table and the island, allowing the table to function either independently or as an integrated element, balancing flexibility with refined aesthetics.
The kitchen island features a circular stainless-steel range hood, departing from conventional designs to become a sculptural statement that seamlessly combines function and form.
In the living area, audiovisual equipment is concealed within the custom TV console, keeping wiring hidden and preserving the purity of the wall plane. Behind the sofa, a display cabinet showcases curated art objects, allowing the homeowner’s personal taste to naturally define the character of the space.
The master bedroom continues the philosophy of “less is more,” using layered soft furnishings to create a tranquil atmosphere that allows the eyes—and the mind—to rest.
The walk-in closet adopts a grey-and-white open wardrobe system, defined by sliding glass doors that strike a balance between transparency and privacy. In the master bathroom, large-format light grey and white tiles establish a serene backdrop.
The freestanding basin is paired with a countertop crafted from matching thin tiles, with subtle recessed and protruding details adding depth and texture to the monochromatic palette.
The guest bathroom is designed primarily for toiletry use, continuing the material language of the master bath.
A custom stone vanity integrates storage cabinetry, with a thoughtfully designed waste opening in the countertop to enhance everyday convenience.
The mirror features a three-panel, beveled design, while a perimeter of indirect ceiling lighting brightens the space—ensuring an open and luminous atmosphere even without an exterior window.
Overall, the home speaks through the language of negative space, allowing materials, proportions, and light to layer naturally, resulting in a pure white residence that balances artistic expression with the warmth of everyday living.
